PA COMMITTEE
How We Got Started
Every parent/guardian is a member of the PA by default.
The PA is run by a committee composed of the Chair, Vice-chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Supporting the PA Committee is a Sub-committee and the Class Reps.

SUB-COMMITTEE
The sub-committee comprises dedicated members who focus on particular tasks, especially during social and fundraising events. As a sub-committee member, you will play a vital role in event coordination.
CLASS REPS
Traditionally, each form in the year has a WhatsApp group. Whilst this is an effective way to engage and communicate, it is limited in reach because communication is only confined to one form within the Year group.
Now that we have launched our new platform, ‘Classlist’, the PA can communicate directly with all the parents through their class reps on the forum; this is significant progress.
Each form should have a designated class rep. We encourage all class reps to arrange social events within their forms.
The role of a Class rep will include and is not limited to;
• Acting as a social contact for new and existing parents in your form
• Being a single point of contact for communication between your form and the PA committee
• Using ‘Classlist’ to put parents from other forms in touch with one another when required
In a nutshell, the Class Rep is a conduit between the form and the rest of the school.
This role will require volunteering at least 15 hours per term, equating to about 1hr a week, give or take.
VOLUNTEER POOL
The Volunteer Pool is for you if you want to help out occasionally when you can but cannot commit to a role for the whole academic year.
We would generally contact you when we have events or require help in one way or the other. When we reach out to you, we will ask you to help us based on your area of interest selected when filling out the form.
If the task requires physical presence in the school and you have transportation issues, we might be able to put you in touch with a parent in your area who might be willing to assist.
GET INVOLVED
The PA will not survive without active parent/guardian involvement. Without your help, it will grind to a halt, so why don’t you sign up today? We are not asking for copious amounts of your time. Many hands make light work.
